My capital city exploded with the alchemists! I've got three games under my belt now with Larissa. I'm leading the series 2-1.
Overall, I like Tapestry. It's fun and I look forward to playing it again. There is a lot of variety in the game and some of the combinations you can have are humorous (Have AI technology before your civilization knows writing or math, or have the ability to explore space with only having stone tools). The components are awesome and the gameplay is fun once you learn the language and symbols.
Downside? For Larissa and I - the game plays a bit longer than we typically like. We usually don't like to play the 90-120 minute games. That's usually because we put the kids down between 8:30 and 9:00 and don't want to stay up until 11 to play one game. So, for us (who normally play lighter games) it's a fantastic game - just be prepared to play for... a while. If you like longer games with engine building and a lot of choices then I highly recommend this g 2019-10-01
